Teaching at Det Tverrfaglige Kunstinstitutt

08th November 2011
I began as a guest lecturer recently at an art institute in Stabekk, near Oslo. It's name translates as The Multimedia Art Institute, and is run by Julio da Silva. It was great fun to interact with the students and build enthusiasm for using photography as a part of their creative processes. There are roughly 30 students, and it was very interesting to get to know them and their work. The talks are in Norwegian and I started by showing and discussing hand-coloring methods, which was very enthusiastically received. I look forward to my next talks, possibly on portraiture or documentary photography.
